Photo competition “Oroklini Lake all through the year” now open - February '13

From 1 February until 31 May all nature photographers, amateurs or professionals, are invited to submit their photos of Oroklini Lake. If you haven’t taken any photographs yet, there is still time to do so. Winter and even more so spring are ideal for capturing landscapes, flowers, insects and especially birds. During winter, Oroklini Lake is full of ducks and other waterbirds such as flamingos and herons, while spring is ideal for capturing the two important species of Oroklini, theSpur-winged Lapwing and Black winged Stilt. You can’t miss these two species at Oroklini as they are very active during the breeding season, choosing their nesting territory and their partner, and sitting on their nests. Participation in the contest is free.

A prize of 1,000 euros will be awarded to the best photo, while later in 2013, the Voroklini Community Council will organise a photo exhibition, and produce an album with selected photos from the competition.

To participate please read the PHOTO COMPETITION RULES and fill in the ENTRY FORM.
